We are an international investment and asset management company with a diverse portfolio of commercial property throughout the UK, Europe and Australia.

Where is the company based?

Our head office is at Hay's Galleria, near London Bridge, overlooking the River Thames and the City of London.

St Martins was established in 1924 and has grown into one of the world’s leading property companies with a global portfolio of over 80 assets.

St Martins owns more than 1 million sq m of property worldwide.

What kind of property does St Martins own?

We have a diverse range of assets, which includes office, retail, industrial, leisure and residential accommodation.

So the company doesn’t target a specific sector of commercial property?

Our investment policy is focused on identifying sizeable trophy assets in mature markets which offer the scope for excellent long term returns on investment and offering a stable income return, with a key focus on office properties for additional acquisitions.

How is the company funded?

St Martins is the real estate arm of the State of Kuwait.

How much money does St Martins have to invest?

St Martins has a mandate from the State of Kuwait to identify and develop opportunities to invest in international real estate. This is undertaken on an opportunistic basis, assessing an asset’s future potential and long term returns on investment.

Does the company have any significant assets in London?

Yes, the prestigious London Bridge City development on the banks of the River Thames, containing over 93,000 sq m of office, retail, leisure and residential accommodation. In 2008 we acquired the iconic Willis Building in the City of London, and completed the prestigious 150 Cheapside office development, adjacent to St Paul’s Cathedral.

Do you own any assets outside London?

We own and asset manage a wide range of shopping centres across the UK, in addition to a number of office schemes, business parks and mixed use developments.

What are your key assets outside of the UK?

In 2007, St Martins acquired the Cevahir retail and entertainment centre in Istanbul, one of the largest shopping centres in Europe. We also own property in France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland and Australia. In Australia we have assets in Melbourne and Perth.

What about in Asia?

In early 2009 St Martins made its first move into the Asian market with the purchase of the Lietocourt Arx Tower, a luxury 27 storey high-rise residential tower in central Tokyo. St Martins is concentrating on further acquisitions in Western Europe for now.

Which markets are you currently targeting?

St Martins is actively seeking to expand its property ownership, focusing on landmark properties in developed markets. We are currently looking at opportunities in major cities in the UK and Continental Europe, including France and Germany. In addition, we are seeking major investments in Australia.

What is St Martins view on sustainable development?

We are pioneers in the field of developing eco-friendly buildings. Our new 150 Cheapside office development in the City of London has an Excellent BREEAM rating.
